December 20-28 we spent Christmas in St. Lucia West Indies. We had monsoon weather for 3 full days and nights and then rain and cloudy the other days, except of course full sunshine on our last day!

This was my first Step n Stride breast cancer walk. I was blessed to attend with my family and friends. Tim, Tasha, Abygail and Mike along with Mike Hermansdorfer and Kendall, Kolby and Stacey. What a prideful event.

18 Day cruise of the Mediterranean & Land Tour - August 29 thru September 14, 2010
Day 1 -8/30/10 Rome
Day 2 - 8/31/10 to the Ship in Civitavecchia
Day 3 - 9/1/10 - Sorrento, Italy - Capri, Naples Pompeii
Day 4 - 9/2/10 - At Sea
Day 5 - 9/3/10 - Patmos, Greece but we stayed on the ship as I had sprained my ankle.
Day 6 - 9/4/10 Kusadasi - Ephesus, Turkey where we visited Sirince Village and the persian carpet factory.
Day 7 - 9/5/10 At Sea
Day 8 - 9/6/10 Haifa, Israel where we visited Bahai Shrine and Nazareth
Day 9 - 9/7/10 Ashdod, Israel - toured Masada and Dead Sea and drove around outskirts of Jerusalem.
Day 10 - 9/8/10 Port Said - The trip then took us to Cairo for an overnight at the Fairmont with night light show at Giza
Day 11 - 9/9/10 Cruise on Nile and then to step pyramid and then the pyramids at Giza where I climbed into the Pyramid of Cheops and after driving thru the Sahara Desert returned to the ship in Alexandria
Day 12 - 9/10/10 At Sea
Day 13 - 9/11/10 Spent a day in Santorini, Fira and Oia.
Days 14 & 15 - 9/12/10 & 9/13/10 Spent 2 nights in Athens - toured the city, climbed the Acropolis & Parthenon - Dinner at Orizontes and spent the last day lounging around the rooftop pool.
9/14/10 Homeward Bound, greeted at airport by our driver Bill and drove home in his gold lincoln continental.

Tasha, Mike and Abygail arrive on Tuesday and stay thru Sunday. Mac had his surgery and Abygail wound up with a bladder infection and two trips to urgent care - one of which escalated to treatment with an IV of antibiotics and fluids.

- Blizzard of 2010
Began snowing on Friday, February 5, 2010 and snowed all day and night. We shoveled on Saturday, Sunday and by Monday, February 8 we had most everything shoveled just in time for more snow on Tuesday, February 9-10, 2010. Two blizzards back to back. We got about 25" on the first and at least 20" maybe more on the second!

Everyone should go whale watching in Cape Cod at least once in their lives. We only saw one, but it was well worth the trip. The whaling excursion was on the Dolphin Fleet. Taking the bus trip is not something we would do again, too crowded and ours was not especially well planned, but we had a great time regardless!

Steve and I spent Christmas in New Orleans in 2000. We stayed at the Royal Sonesta on Bourbon Street and on Christmas day visited Harrah's Casino. The dinner cruise on the Natchez on Christmas Eve was a pleasurable evening. Nothing could outdo the decorations (a block long) inside the Fairmont Hotel. We took several buggy rides and I was fortunate to get a photo with Estelle Harris (George Castanza's mother on Seinfield) in front of Anne Rice's home on Christmas Day. Be sure to photograph a cemetery while there and also have a drink at the famous Lafitti's.

Spent this Christmas with Tim and Jennifer in California. Christmas day we spent in Hollywood.
- Spain 1999
We went to Barcelona Spain in 1999 for the opening of Bruce Springsteen's World Tour with the E-Street Band and what a good time it was! He even performed a second concert so we scalped tickets (riverti in Spanish) and went twice. We traveled by train to Sitgis and took a bus trip to the famous Monastery at Montserrat. We loved watching the people on Las Ramblas, a virtual street of constant entertainment. You must also visit the Cathedral Barcelona.
- Hawaii 1996
Hawaii is an exotic wonderland of lush vegetation, beautiful beaches, active volcanoes and so much to do! If you are thinking of visiting, you may want to check out the Hawaiian Homepage. Hang loose! Gorgeous scenery and treacherous drive to Hana (how exciting) and then a helicopter ride back (Blue Hawaiian Tours). We went to the Big Island and took a helicopter over Kilauea as it erupted. Be sure not to miss seeing the sunrise at Haleakala Crater.
- St. Marteen 1994
Wonderful vacation in St. Maarten in August 1994. Stayed at Divi Little Bay Resort on the Dutch side, but travelled to the French side to sunbathe on Orient Bay Beach. Took a catamaran to St. Barts for one day and well worth the trip. Not many photos as we took movies.
